So, one of my best friends is the guy I like. I've liked him off and on for three years, when I wasn't dating someone, and a bit while I was, but, I've never really let on that I like him. Until this year. Because, over the summer my friend who had dated him basically gave me permission to date him if I wanted because she is totally over him and will never consider dating him again. Anyway, he and I flirt a lot. Like, A LOT. And, it's gotten to be pretty obvious to all of our friends that I like him, but he's being an effing idiot and not getting it, and if he is, he's not showing it. Anyway, I'm not the only one flirting in the situation, at all. He initiates it, too. but he has a girlfriend now and not two weeks ago, I basically blurted out that I love him, TO HIM, and then at the next basketball game we were really close together and I thought he might, I don't know, try to hold my hand or something vaguely romantic. But, no. Just more of our common flirting, and the next day we did hold hands briefly, and then not 3 days later he got his effing girlfriend! So I'm not sure what to do. I'm not going to say anything for the time being because it wouldn't at all be fair for me to say anything while he has a girlfriend. or directly after. And i know that this will probably ruin our friendship, but we've never not been friends since we became friends and I WANT MORE, DAMNIT.
